PEO Sales Executive – HR, Payroll & Workers’ Comp Solutions

About VertiSource HR VertiSource HR helps businesses streamline HR, reduce risk, and save time through flexible, full-service PEO module.  As we expand nationally, we’re seeking a self-starter and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team and fuel our growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective clients for PEO, HR, payroll, and workers’ comp solutions through cold calling, emailing, and networking.
  • Conduct needs assessments to uncover client pain points and deliver customized PEO proposals.
  • Present and sell VertiSource HR’s Master Workers’ Comp Plan, emphasizing cost savings and compliance benefits.
  • Manage and convert leads using HubSpot CRM and sales enablement tools.
  • Navigate full sales cycles from initial contact through closing and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on PEO industry trends, regulations, and competitors.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the PEO's services and how they benefit clients.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Successfully negotiating and closing sales agreements.
  • Working with other team members, such as sales support or account managers, to ensure a smooth sales process.

  • Consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Building a healthy sales pipeline through proactive outreach.
  • Closing high-quality deals with long-term client retention.
  • Representing VertiSource HR at trade shows, webinars, and networking events.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in PEO, HR outsourcing, insurance, payroll, risk management.
  • Solid understanding of workers’ compensation and multi-state compliance.
  • Proven ability to close deals and exceed quotas.
  • Strong communication, consultative selling, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in:
    • HubSpot or comparable CRM
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Insurance Agency Management System - AMS
    • Human Resource Information System - HRIS
    • Canva or similar tools for sales visuals
    • AI tools for sales prospecting and productivity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Life & Health and/or P&C insurance license(s)
  • Existing book of business or strong industry relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Marketing, or related field
